About

Mara Halunga is a singer and songwriter who travels between Romania and Brazil, drawing inspiration from both cultures to create her music. Her musical project arises from the fusion of Brazilian music, jazz, world music, and Romanian tradition, resulting in an original and diverse sound deeply connected to the idea of music as a language of encounter.

On stage, Mara has performed at festivals and on tours across Romania, Italy, Sweden, and Brazil (São Paulo), earning recognition for the intensity of her performances and the uniqueness of her artistic vision. Two major tours have marked her journey in Romania: "Mara and Cauê play Elis & Tom" (2024) and "Vento Leste" (2025) — the latter presenting her first original album.

Over the past seven years, she has performed hundreds of concerts, shaping a distinctive and steadily growing artistic trajectory. The Vento Leste Tour, held during the European summer of 2025, was a milestone, bringing together diverse audiences and confirming the album's power in its live form. The album's release concert was recorded and broadcast nationwide by TVR Cultural, representing a significant moment of national recognition.
